SUBMITTING THESES & DISSERTATIONS IN THE LIBRARY
ELECTRONIC THESES & DISSERTATION (T & D)
How to submit Electronic T & D to the Library?
Once the Thesis or Dissertation is completed you must submit copies to the library in both PRINT and ELECTRONIC format. The Supervisor and the student need to consult the submission guidelines for Electronic Theses & Dissertations Procedure (in PDF, latest 2008) and follow the steps.
Theses & Dissertations Submission forms: English or Afrikaans. The completed form must accompany your Theses & Dissertation copies for the Library.

PRINT THESES & DISSERTATIONS
How to submit Print T & D to the Library?
UJ Masters and Doctoral students must reserve a time slot well in advance for the binding of research essays, dissertations or theses.
Candidates may, at the same time, indicate the number of bound copies required for private use.

SEARCH FOR ELECTRONIC THESES & DISSERTATIONS
To search the UJ Electronic Theses & Dissertations (ETD) go to UJ DigiSpace.
- Step 1: Select the "Theses & Dissertations" from the list of collections.
- Step 2:The ETD's are arranged per Department.
- Step 3: You can either search the Department ETD per keyword OR you can browse the ETD per Title, Author, Subject or Date.
- Step 4: If you click on the selected ETD, you will be able to see more details about the ETD: author, keywords, abstract, etc. At the BOTTOM of the page is the full-text access link. All the ETD are protected by copyright and link to the License is available.

How to recognise print T & D on the system?
The shelf code consist of the subject code followed by 10. For example: AA10 Geography T & D; AG10 Geology, etc.
